What to include in a correction report

Error reports are the most useful messages this site receives. These details let the editor reproduce the problem quickly:

Result shown	The value the calculator gave, with units
Expected result	9.800 mm, from your hand calculation
Source	Standard or book with edition, and the clause, table or equation number
Browser and device	Only if the problem is with the page rather than the number

Confirmed errors are fixed, covered by a new test and recorded in the changelog on the page concerned. See the editorial policy and the validation page.

Please do not send confidential or export-controlled drawings or data. A description of the inputs is enough.
